5 Simple Internal Link Building Tricks

Unfortunately, the process of SEO is complex and difficult to be put in just one sentence. It is a mesh of ideas, internal and external links, content, and more techniques than we can list, entwined in a good design. In SEO, the website as a whole is important. The good news is every step is simple. A good place to start is with a well-organized internal link building structure. Readers should be able to navigate easily from one topic to the next related topic seamlessly.
1. Make site navigation easy to follow
Once a user lands on a website, the user should want to stick around for a while. Making the website user friendly is very important. To start, the basic navigation should be easy to follow: Home, About Us, Categories, Contact Us, or any other sections related to the sites theme needs to be easily to find. These links must be in text because crawlers are unable to read the content within an image.
2. Use breadcrumbs for navigation
Breadcrumbs show the site path of the user on the website. They work great within articles and breadcrumbs help SEO. Besides passing PageRank, the breadcrumbs also give the user an idea of where they are on the website.
3. Group the content into categories
If you have a lot of content on your website, the best thing to do is categorize it. Categories are a great place to create a tree of related keywords for the website. Google loves categories, and will your followers.
4. Use titles, tags and good file names
This is very important when it comes to improving a website's rankings. Every SEO manual starts with setting up good titles that contain related keywords. It all starts with keyword research. By using good keywords in titles, followers and crawlers will be able to easily understand what an article is about before clicking in.
5. Link to related topics within articles
This is the best way to improve pageviews and lead followers to related content. Related links pass PageRank, and they give users an opportunity to follow sources for articles. The links can be generic titles such as "SEO for Beginners", or embedded into content seamlessly. Be creative, the best thing a website can do for itself is be unique.
