Since LinkedIn was first introduced in 2003, they have registered over 200 million users. The LinkedIn social network is mainly used by professionals in search of careers or new business contacts. That means LinkedIn is the best place to reach professionals in just about every industry. The best place to start is with your LinkedIn Company Page.
So what are the few steps everyone should make when creating a LinkedIn Company profile?
1. Write a good Introduction Summary
In the "About Us" section, provide people with as much information about the company as possible. Never leave that area blank. How else will they find information about your company?
2. Use keywords
Using keywords that relate to your company is also very important. Keywords should be used everywhere from the description, in the content, and even descriptions for products. We surf the Internet based on keywords seeing repetition can offer a familiar experience.
3. Use the Product & Service Tab
This option tab enables you to place images of all the company's products. People want to see what the company is offering. A good image and description of each product is the best possible way to promote the company.
4. Offer good visual representation
The design is the first thing everyone sees. A great profile should be visually appealing as well as informative. Use images that represent your company and be creative with everything else.
5. Connect to all your employees
People want to see the people behind the company. Ask your employees to connect to the company's profile and register as its employees. Having more people connected to you will increase your audience.
6. Always produce content
Use your profile to generate good quality content. Profiles with no content have nothing to attract followers with. Think about the audience offer something they would follow. From there, just make sure to update regularly.
Finally, your profile should always be up-to-date and user-friendly. A LinkedIn page can be a good medium to reach your audience if you use it. Fill in all the blanks and watch your followers show up. Remember, a little self-promotion is what the Internet is all about.
