Apple's iPad Event Set For October 22

This fall seems to be a busy one for i-device maker Apple. After the launch of two new iPhones and iOS 7 at an event held in September, they are ready to show off their new iPads, along with the new Mac Pro and OS X Mavericks release, at a similar invitation-only event on October 22nd.
Even though the exact point of the gathering is not yet disclosed, the timing seems just right for the new iPads to make an appearance; taking into account that last year's event was held on October 23rd, and that Apple has previously revealed OS X Mavericks for a 'fall' release. What's more, October 22nd is the same day that Microsoft is launching its Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 tablets, while Nokia will be also staging an event to reveal new hardware on that same date as well.
Now let's get back to the iPads. They will include a full-size iPad and new iPad mini.
The fifth-generation of iPad is primarily expected to feature a thinner, lighter casing and an improved camera. As it's assumed, it will run Apple's new 64-bit A7 chip. As for the second-generation iPad mini, it will be reportedly updated with a retina display, and it's not sure if it will get the A7.
Regarding the both iPads, another dubious feature is the Touch ID fingerprint sensor that recently debuted on the iPhone 5s.
If we take the releases of Apple's iPhone 5S as an indication, the new iPads will probably come in Space Grey, Gold and traditional silver.
