Google Penalty

A Google Penalty is an intentional penalty when certain websites breach the webmaster guidelines. Google is very strict when it come to following the rules of fair play so websites that use "special" techniques manipulate their algorithms receive severe penalties. These "special" techniques involve keyword stuffing, hidden text, cloaking, and more. Penalties come in 2 forms – A manual penalty or an automated one. Manual penalties are issued by an actual Google engineers after reviewing a website while automated penalties are issues from updates such as Penguin and Panda.

With the introduction of the two algorithms Google Panda and Google Penguin, Google announced its fight against black hat SEO techniques.
