Google and LG's Nexus 5 Rumor Roundup
Posted: October 28, 2013 by Emily Brown
Following several leaks and amidst ongoing rumors, it seems the timing is perfect to wrap up what we know for Google and LG's new Nexus 5. In case you've failed to keep up with the devices' rumors, here is a quick summary of all revealed info regarding the forthcoming addition to the Nexus family.
Of what has been revealed so far, the much anticipated Nexus 5 is said to have 4.95-inch 1080p IPS display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with four cores, each clocked at 2.3 GHz. Plus, it will come with 2GB of RAM and bigger storage options (16GB, 32GB, and 64GB) as well as an active LTE radio and upgraded 2300mAh battery together with wireless charging option.
Even though all of the listed specs are said to be a quite solid update, it's rather disappointing to learn that Nexus 5 won't get a camera boost. With this upcoming Nexus, we will be reportedly again compelled to use the 8MP rear camera, along with a slightly downgraded 1.2MP lens on the front. Well, they have to keep the price down somehow, which would be 100% worth your attention. That's to say, the handset that briefly appeared in the Google Play store was listed for $349 for the 16GB model.
As for the release date, the new generation of Nexus devices is coming very soon, i.e., November 1. Also, it will be available in black and white, just as the two-toned pic above, a courtesy of @evleaks, implies.
