Google's Matt Cutts On Is Guest Blogging Spam
Posted: December 11, 2013 by Kate Smith
Google's head of spam, Matt Cutts, posted a video response yesterday to whether guest blogging will be considered spam in the future. He also discussed what not to do when guest blogging.
Cutts' recommends 4 things one should not be doing when guest blogging. They go as follows:
- Forget guest blogging as your link building strategy
- Don't send lots of emails offering to guest blog to various sites
- Don't put to use the same guest article on two different blogs
- Don't use one article and "spin" it a lot of times
Even though there is high-quality guest blogging happening on the Internet with superb content, Google will take action if there is abuse. It's never wise to put all your eggs in 1 basket so if guest blogging is your only method of link building, it is definitely a good idea to explore other methods as well.
