HTC Joins to Create the New Facebook Phone

One of the biggest rumors currently in the tech world is that Facebook is planning on introducing the first Facebook phone. Although Facebook is not planning on developing a new phone per say, they will enter the mobile phone market through a partnership with HTC. The new Facebook phone, or as rumors say "Facebook First", will be an Android smart phone with a 5-megapixel camera, a dual-core S4 processor and a 4.3-inch 720p display. In general, an average smart phone that will be affordable to millions of mobile phone users.
The point behind this strategy lies that every mobile phone user uses his or her device to log into Facebook. So, why not make a phone that has the Facebook application already built in the phone itself? Since Facebook already functions similar to a phone device – messages, group chats, and even experimental free calls over the Internet. This next step in creating a fusion between the application and the mobile device seemed logical.
The software of the new Facebook phone will be mainly concentrated on the Facebook application itself, providing easy access to it and all its features. Certain photos of the new Facebook phone are circulating the Internet, where the device is seen to resemble HTC smart phones, with a large screen and three buttons at the bottom. The photos also show the Facebook based operating system of the new phone, where your profile picture replaces the lock key button, the news feed are on the screen together with the check-in, photo and message button.
So, when you have people checking their Facebook profile more than 14 times a day, maybe this idea does not sound so bad after all!
