Is The Younger Generation Getting Tired of Facebook?

Facebook is the most popular social network in the world with over a billion users worldwide but the company shows they're losing popularity. Technology moves faster than ever before and social media is no exception.
Based on the latest report conducted by the Pew Research Center, teenagers between the age of 12 and 17 are growing tired of all the drama Facebook creates in their lives. Even though 77% of the teens are active on Facebook, and have profiles on that social network, most of them stated that their enthusiasm for "being poked" is gone!
Many teenagers have slowly started replacing Facebook with the Twitter. The Pew Report shows that 24% of the teens use Twitter, which is a significant rise from last year. Other social networks where teenagers are slowly becoming more active are Instagram (11%), Tumblr (5%), and Google+ (3%).
The survey shows one main reason why teenagers are looking for alternatives is due to the number of adults on the social network. No teenager wants to be friends with his mom and dad on Facebook while they post pictures of themselves. Plus, Facebook has become so popular; it's time for the next trendy app.
