The professional social network LinkedIn announced two new updates this Wednesday. According to officials, the updates will bring a more personalized touch to the user's homepage. The "You recently Visited" and "Who's Viewed Your Updates" sections will track a user's activity on the network.
The first update "You Recently Visited" will show all the recent activities a user engages in. This will include all the profiles they visited as well as discussions, searches, and more. The other update, "Who's Viewed Your Updates", allows users to see the content they have shared in the past two weeks, including the number of likes and shares they get.
According to the company's product leader, Caroline Gaffney, both updates are meant to make LinkedIn more personal. In her blog, she explains how these updates will enable users re-trace their steps, join older conversations, and find old searches. Gaffney also believes the updates will help users connect to other professionals that share common interests. Both update buttons can be seen on the right upper side of the home page.
