Following his on-screen turn as Apple's late CEO Steve Jobs, Ashton Kutcher is firmly staying in the tech world, but this time as Lenovo 's "product engineer."
All of you who are taken aback by the news, Kutcher has a history of showing interest in tech over the years. Not only he was one of Ooma's managers (a tech start-up launched in September 2007), but he has also invested in some less-known companies in the field, particularly Skype, Foursquare, Airbnb, Path and Fab.com.
So, here is what makes the "Two And A Half Man" actor suitable for the post:
"Ashton Kutcher's authentic, creative appetite for technology and keen consumer insight combined with our innovation engine make this a very natural and powerful partnership," claimed David Roman, Lenovo's chief marketing officer who also added, "Ashton will help us break new ground by challenging assumptions, bringing new perspective and contributing his technical expertise to Yoga Tablet and other devices."
As for Ashton's view on the job, here it goes: "This partnership with Lenovo brings together my love of technology and design that makes your life better. I can't wait to dig in and help Lenovo develop future mobile computing products, starting with the Yoga Tablet," claimed the actor. "Lenovo is all about innovation and strong leadership. Entrepreneurship is part of their DNA, and I couldn't ask for a better fit."
