With the ever-presence of smartphones and our constant use of the web, advertising agencies has found a new space to catch consumers' attention. Having proved effective over the past few years, mobile advertising is expected to reach record highs in 2014.
According to LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, companies almost tripled the sum of money meant for mobile advertising, from $1.2 billion in 2012 to $3 billion in 2013. Whereas this year, around 65% of both agencies and marketers are planning to invest in mobile ads an estimated total of $4.3 billion.
Since the app downloads over 2013 broke records and the use of social media networks saw a major increase too, analysts forecast that mobile and social advertising will escalate 64% and 47%, correspondingly.
The expectations for 2014 are that marketers will spend almost $47.6 billion on online ads alone, out of which $13.1 billion will be allocated for mobile ads.
