Search Engine Optimization is a highly complex process that requires a lot of time and dedication from webmasters. In the process of acquiring traffic for their websites use all kinds of techniques to rank better. Content, link quality, keyword research, proper titles, social media presence, and good descriptions are all just part of good SEO. Recently, Google added another factor that will influence SEO – the mobile factor.
The bottom line is we live in a mobile era. Smartphones are an essential part of people's lives and they are slowly replacing PCs. Studies show only 6 out of100 companies are ready for mobile SEO. While the importance of mobile SEO is not overly important right now, Google is changing that. Sites that don't jump on board may find their rankings decline over the next year.
For webmasters, mobile is just another new addition to the long list SEO requirements. Mobile SEO should be regarded as a significant factor since all signs show that PCs are getting phased out for mobile devices. For many large websites, mobile usage has already exceeded browser views. As a webmaster, it's important to cater to the general audience. In times when everyone has their smartphone glued to their hands, it is only expected that websites work well for mobile devices as well.
