Even though Apple fans have been celebrating the release of the new iPhone this year, it appears we will have to wait a little longer for the devices to hit the market. Rumors started when a Taiwanese newspaper reported the long-awaited iPhone 5S may be postponed to the end of 2013. The iPhone 6, which is a completely new version of the iPhone, may be available as soon as next year.
The iPhone 5S was expected to be released in September to mark 100 days since the introduction of the iOS7. The setback is due to changes in the initial design of the device such as the improved 4.3-inch screen and finger scanning technology. Fingerprint recognition chips are one of the most anticipated new features but they only started production in late June.
Most of the fans are eagerly waiting for the new iPhone 6 more that the 5S. The promise of a major upgrade to the smartphone has followers excited. In addition to fingerprint technology, the iPhone 6 may have Kinect technology incorporated within. These rumors came after it was announced that Apple was having talks with PrimeSense, the company that designed Kinect. Hopefully the iPhone will continue to be released without any further delays. It has been quite some time since the last device and fans have been switching devices while waiting for a new version.
