Top 10 Free Apple Apps for 2013

Apple and Google are dominating the App market by a huge margin. Apple with their App Store and Google with Google Play give users access to thousands of applications available online. Some of these apps are free while some cost a few cents to a few dollars. This month, Apple reached 50 billion downloads since its introduction of the Apple Store. Even though apps aren't really that expensive, we listed our top free 10 apps available in the App Store.

1. Facebook and Facebook Messenger
Facebook has over one billion active users. The Facebook apps are probably the most downloaded apps in the world. Every Facebook user is shown to check his account 15 times a day.

Facebook Messenger

2. YouTube
This video sharing website is among the top websites visited on a daily basis. Music videos, TV shows, and homemade funny videos are all here. All the videos are available in just a click of a button. Even though YouTube is planning on introducing subscriptions for some channels, their popularity is not expected to decline.

YouTube

3. Instagram
Instagram may possibly have become the most popular "food camera app"! It still remains a mystery why people feel the need to take photos of their meals but thanks to Instagram, they can make it look "amaro", "mayfair", "x-pro II", "inkwell", or little bit of "Nashville". Blurry = art!

Instagram

4. Twitter
Twitter is still one of the fastest growing social networks. Tweet Tweet!

Twitter

5. Skype
Since its release in 2003, this app has more than 600 million users worldwide. It allows communication with microphone, video, file transfer and video conference.

Skype

6. Google Earth and Google Maps
These two apps by Google are free and also very cool. With good Internet connection, you can either explore islands on oceans you never knew existed or find streets with ridiculous names.

Google Earth

7. Netflix
This app allows users to stream their favorite shows on their smartphones. You only need a Netflix subscription and those long bus rides will never be boring again!

Netflix

8. Angry Birds
Angry Birds Rio, Angry Birds Star Wars, Angry Birds Original! It really does not matter as we all enjoy knocking those blocks with those little birdies!

Angry Birds

9. Temple Run
Everyone that has downloaded this app got immediately hooked on it! Running from angry monkeys through ancient ruins of temples is cool. I feel like Indiana Jones!

Temple Run

10. Flashlight
We all love the flashlight app. It can be very handy when you need light. It also can be very cool when you are at a concert and your favorite song is playing. You put it in a flash mode and dance away! But seriously, don't do that, you'll probably get kicked out.
