Having a 9 to 5 job and keeping a successful blog is very demanding. Whether it's a hobby or a full time job, writing blog posts requires time, creativity, and persistence. Most bloggers struggle with several issues when it comes to blogging: work hours, ideas, social media, and time. Since most of us face the same problems and challenges, I've found it helpful to share the blogging experience with others. Here are a few tips from bloggers on how to write successful blogs:
1. Write the blog in stages
Every bloggers main goal is to create a great post. For long posts it's best to write in stages. Start with an outline, move to a rough drafts, and finally polish the final message.
2. Find the right time to write
Time is something that bloggers struggle with on a daily basis. Finding "your time" is very important. Some people do their best work in the morning while others function better at night. It is always important to find your own rhythm.
3. Block out the rest of the world
Once you start writing, it is very important that you have no distractions. Many bloggers have said that they try and put a deadline on their work. Try and do 20 – 30 minutes of productive writing without Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Instagram, etc. If you need more time, just slow your pace. The most important thing is that you concentrate only on your work.
4. Write down any idea that comes to mind
Coming up with ideas everyday may seem more difficult than it seems. Ideas don't just pop onto your head once you sit in front of the PC. It takes a lot of time, research, and brainstorming to create a good post. Ideas can come to you while shopping for groceries, at the gas station or at the movies. Keep something on hand to take notes.
5. Use all tools available
Google Analytics, DropBox, and many more tools can help you organize your time. Once you are organized, it will be easier to produce good content. Social networks can also help your blog a lot. Be active everywhere and make as many contacts as possible. That way you will increase your followers and the blog's popularity.
6. Talk to your readers
Interaction with followers on social networks and answering emails is very important. Many bloggers believe that is very important to find time for your fans. Showing that you care and taking time to answer questions can only bring you positive results.
