Top SEO Areas Where Webmasters Mess Up

Building websites can be a challenging task. Webmasters are responsible for generating content, following rapidly-changing Internet trends, and staying ahead of the millions of websites. It's a wonder how websites glue together. That being said, SEO mistakes happen all the time. Here are a few highlighted by Matt Cutts.
"Make your site crawlable"! People should be able to find your website. Once they're there, make sure they can navigate through it easily. Don't put important content somewhere where nobody can find. Make your website user friendly!
Once you create your website, the content you provide will make your website successful. Offer something users will be searching for. Restaurants should offer menu and hours. Clothing companies should put the images of their products with available sizes. Allow your customers to make online orders if Internet sales are possible. Include as much information as you can without overloading the reader. Think ahead – What would the users and customers want to know?
All webmasters should know that the ultimate goal is not link building, but to create good content. Focus on marketing that takes advantage of unique content strategies. Use all available media, especially social pages like Facebook, Twitter and Google+. If available, tap into TV media and billboards. As content grows, people will talk about them, and the popularity of both the company and its website grow accordingly. If the site is popular, the links will follow eventually.
Webmasters should use all available resources when creating websites. Google's Webmaster Tools provide a wide range of free tools for creating websites.
